Katrina Halili Gave Birth To Baby Katrence

After a very depressing controversy that Katrina Halili had before she is now ready to face a new chapter of her life that is becoming a mother. She has now given birth to a very beautiful baby girl they named with singer Kris Lawrence "Katrence".

Kris Lawrence was happy to announce of this blessing they both have now and are excited to become mom and dad. 

It is said that  Katrina Halili gave birth last September 18. 

Kris Lawrence in his twitter account posted, “Katrence is here!!!! She's the most beautiful thing ive ever seen...” he added, “When u look at ur own kid & she looks back at you...everything around you turns into a blur, stops, mutes and its just the 2 of you...wow.”

He ended his tweet, “m feeling emotions that i never even knew existed...thank you Lord. This is the best thing thats ever happened to me.”

Martial Law Proclamation September 21

Today is a very remarkable day and we all Filipinos shouldn't miss it for a thing, why? Today September 21 is the day when former President Ferdinand Marcos proclaimed order no. 1081 for "martial law". 

September 21, 1972 is when this proclamation was signed.

As Jessica Soho on her late show mentioned we should remember how this day came about since this day did not only change how Filipinos lives is now it also brought about lives taken of which a lot of them are still missing and for all the sacrifices that this proclamation brought about we should take it as something so lightly. 

In my humble opinion as well since as one of the people who enjoys the free living in the Philippines it is but comforting to know that even to ourselves and to our children we may be able to tell them to acknowledge and thank the freedom we have now. Most of us Pinoy no longer remember anything about our past since we often believe "forget the past" but I think this is one of the many reasons why we should not forget since we should be grateful to many whom are not known who played the game of losing their lives for all of us today.

Filipinos now are addicted to Kpop of its music and dramas. Even if we often do not understand the lyrics of their song not unless if there is an english line we often find how the melody, the beat and the music seems to be good to hear.

The evolution of Kpop music in the name of Psy a korean singer rapper has touched millions of lives with his antics on his music "Gangnam Style". He is indeed a korean sensation because of this song. Sarah Geronimo Fell On The Stage With A Poise

Sarah Geronimo fell off from the stairs on her stage? Yes, eventually she had missed one step as she walks down the stairs from her concert.

This happened last July 21 at 24/SG concert. She was singing as she goes down "And I am Telling You".

Even if Sarah fell down she was still lucky enough to have fallen on a right position where she can immediately stand up. She indeed was able to get back on her feet with poise. Well, anyways this kind of an accident really happens in a concert there are even worst for some like wardrobe malfunction.

11 Year Old Girl Stubbed Father

Such a sad and bothering news I have heard from a local TV show. A daughter 11 years of age had killed her father. As I continue to listen it is explained that the said event happened because the girl was only trying to protect their mother from being beaten by his father.

This happened in the province of Argao, Cebu. It is explained in Inquirer that the man who was stubbed is always having heavy fights with the mother of the girl and it is a scene that their neighbors often hear and see. The said father was known to be a womanizer coming from the 2 jobs he had lost because of having a fling with a co worker. He had worked in DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) and the office of the Mayor in Argao. 

Sunday night the girl saw her father and mother fighting. She saw her mother being hit in the head and finally saw the mother's legs being cut by hacksaw that triggered the little girl from taking the knife in their house and stabbed her father.

The father of the girl escaped after being stub by her and as already seen on a neardy grassy lot dead. 

A police chief inspector of Argao Alan Batobalunos explained that they took custody of the child at first and later was handed over to DSWD(Department of Social Welfare and Development) for counseling.

The chief further added that the poor girl didn't know that her father died of him hearing the girl said, “Napatay nako si Papa ma? Mapriso ko (I killed papa, ma? Would I go to jail?”).

It breaks my heart to have read this line and it feels so depressing how little children gets the most pain of their mother and father fighting. I just hope that all young men and women would think about this kind of a situation before even thinking of starting a family if not before getting involved with premarital sex since that is where everything starts. It is not easy to raise a family it is financially and emotionally a concern that everyone must be ready.

Adam Levine New Endorser Of Bench

Maroon 5 Band is definitely liking it here in the Philippines. The group is scheduled to have its concert here on September 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum which is a part of their world tour "Overexposed". And the front act of the said group Adam Levine aside from the said concert is also here for another interesting gig which is different and that is to model a popular brand here in the Philippines.

Adam Levine is the new face of Bench. On a twitter account of Bench a message was tweeted like this "#GlobalBenchsetter @adamlevine [as being part of] the Bench Family."

Ben Chan on an interview of ABS-CBN mentioned that "Mahirap talaga. [Adam Levine] is really big, and so he's not interested to endorse... any company, for that matter,".

Ben Chan also mentioned that for them to get that big "Yes" from Adam Levine they have to think of way to make him agree and it was the products itself of Ben Chan's line which was presented to him was the very main reason he agreed.

The Filipino Chinese Entreprenuer and the founder of Bench further explained, "[But] we were able to persuade him," "I believe he liked the clothes that we sent him, that we showed him. Nagustuhan niya 'yung mga damit. That was one factor kung bakit nag-sign up siya," 

Ben Chan also explained that because of their excitement over Adam Levine's acknowledgment of his line that he tweeted the message of him being a part of the many artist internationally who represented also the brand.

Super Typhoon Karen May Hit Philippines

Filipino people are being warned of the coming super typhoon Karen. PAGASA stated that the said typhoon has maintained its strength and its the direction crossed East Philippine Sea before noon today Friday.

Karen has an estimated 740 km East of Aparri of Cagayan 10am with sustained winds of 185 kph of its center and gustiness of 220 kph.

As explained by weather forecasters that Karen is noted as a "super typhoon" because of its strong impact to the affected area that is of 220 kph hit. It is also known that typhoon Karen is called as an "Annular Typhoon" which is because of its symmetrical shape of its eye indicating that it is very strong and will last longer than the rest of typhoons we have experienced.

With the flooding that happened in Manila and caused serious of damage to health and properties let us all head to this warning and be safe!

Bench Universe Fashion Show 2012

Bench Lovers here is another round for the "Bench Universe Fashion Show".

The show was held last night September 13 at the arena of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Ben Chan the owner of Bench only do this fashion every after 2 years. So this such a long time for Bench lovers to enjoy not just the new fashion line but also because of their favorite celebrities sporting their sexiest attire.

For this year of their underwear brand Bench Chan collaborated with famous designers here in the Philippines like Furne On, Rajo Laurel, Cary Santiago, Randy Ortiz, Joey Samson and Michael Cinco. 

Their stage design is very different and unique and place in the area is filled with spectators in every corner. 

The opening act of the show was done by Mig Ayesa a Filipino Australian rock singer. And all the rest follows the line up of unending cat walks, celebrities, models and dancers.

The opening act of stars that filled the arena with so much noise are with Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca. Kim Chiu is as sexy as any woman can be and her figure showed as she ramps. 

Jake Cuenca as well made the audience go crazy with his hot body and fills the room with shouts after he was trying to show off a thong under his orange brief.

Bench will never be the same without Richard Gomez who came after along with Diether Ocampo, Regine Angeles, Carla Abellana, Kris Lawrence, Angeline Quinto, Grace Lee, Paul Jake Castillo, and Bela Padilla. 

For the collection under "Jeans and Underwear" the act was opened by Kathryn Bernardo which people did not quite recognize her because of her different look. Rocco Nacino and Enzo Pineda came next along with Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco.

Jinkee and Manny Pacquiao seems not good enough for the cat walk but manages to smile for the audience. 

Comes next are stars like Sarah Lahbati, Carla Guevara, Benjamin Alves, Christian Bautista and Rayver Cruz.

At the later end the prominent and original member of Bench endorser and model Richard Gomez came in with people being overwhelmed.

On their futuristic designs stars came in like Julia Montes comes next Karylle and with basketball players like David and Anthony Semerad. 

The highlight of the group was the actor Aljur Abrenica. After new celebrities came in like Pancho Magalona, John Spainhour and Lovi Poe who came in on a big coral rock with her is the actor  Dingdong Dantes. 

After a fun filled performance by the singer Catriona Gray who sung "“Jar of Hearts”.

Next to ramp is Michael Cinco along with Shaina Magdayao the main star for this set. Comes next with Borgy Manotoc, Mike Tan, Arron Villaflor and Jessy Mendiola.

Georgina Wilson made the finale of which features the design of Cary Santiago.

The highlight is Jennylyn Mercado and along with other stars like Isabelle Daza, Alex Castro and Bianca Manalo. Right after came Paulo Avelino with Coco Martin.

Americas Next Top Model alumni's like Sophie Summer, Allison Harvard and Dominique Reighard also ramps the night. And the party ended with the band of Far East Movement.

Ben Chan came after along with Lucy Torres whom gave Ben the flowers on stage. 

It was indeed a fun filled night and everyone must have left without a voice from all of the yelling, shouts and unending surprises that the show gave.

The Tourist Spot In Palawan

Palawan is known to be the "Last Frontier". Being selected as one of the best tourist destination in the world by National Geographic Traveler's magazine as explained by Department of Tourism in the year 2007.

Palawan is not only good because of the praises it gets from international groups but also for the reason that it is rich of filipino culture, outstanding scenic views and most of all the 5 spot that makes it more interesting to visit.

Puerto Princesa being the capital of Palawan having known to be the cleanest and greenest city in all of the Philippine islands has something to boost already.

The Subterranean River located in Bahile, Puerto Princesa is a world heritage. With its 8.2 kilometers stretch continues to amaze tourist even up to now because of its passable underground river. The subterranean river stands out to be the longest underground river with cave winding empties going to the South China sea. You will be welcomed with marble cliffs along with rugged limestones as you tour in the river. Using paddleboats to explore the underground river you are in for more surprises like rock formations,stalactite pillars and amphitheaters.

From Puerto Princesca itself your mode of transportation going to the river is through a jeepney or a bus if you are not interested to hike it going to Sabang where you will ride on a pump boat going to the river.   

Coron Palawan at a northen most part of the peninsula which takes an hour from Manila by air. This is a most sought spot in Palawan because of its unique towering mountains having a backdrop of a fine white sand beach. Because of World War II it is also known for its wreck diving of which explains why it was listed as  the top 5 dive spots in the world.

Honda Bay. These are islets of shallow reefs that sorrounds these white sand beaches of which are known for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Popular islets known are Starfish Island, Bat Island, Cowrie Island, Meara Marina, Pandan Island, Snake Island, Señorita Island and Lu-Li Island. Among all of the islands there are those that elevates from the rest like Starfish and Meara Marina Islands which overnight stays are famous, Lu-Li Island known since it can only be seen if it is low tide and Señorita Island known for being the breeding area for Lapu-Lapu fishes. 

Honda bay is at Sta. Lourdes at Puerto Princesa. From the capital itself it is a 12 km travel east to the wharf of Sta. Lourdes. Here you will ride a pump boat and will picked up and enjoy a tour to the island you wish to visit. Though due to private ownership of most of the islands you will have to pay for an entrance fee.

El Nido, Palawan. Located 86miles of Coron and about 238km NW of Puerto Princesa can be found at the middle part of Bacuit Bay settled in a karst background of superb rock formations. It's name was given as El Nido comes from sea sparrows that settles in its high cliffs before. El Nido is the starting point of all El Nido Tours to all of its enchanting islands with its rock formation along Bacuit Bay. With international filming done here in El Nido like Bourne Legacy, Survivor and The Beach.

Palawan National Museum. In the museum you will witness the history, culture, crafts and music of Palawan. You will also get to see exhibits of geological, ethnological and archaeological artifacts with the likes of jars, porcelain and artifacts made known to have been used by Tabon man. These primitive group uses tools to hunt and trap made from brass wares.

Annabelle Rama Running For Congress

Annabelle Rama is a known local celebrity figure and more than that she is a fierce, frank and very strong person. She speaks with conviction and makes her stand. She is not afraid of who you are and she knows that she has something to say.

I have seen Ms. Annabelle Rama her in my town in the local media and I also didn't expect that she would enter politics. I saw her campaigning in the North part of Cebu and people in deed were mesmerized and happy seeing such a prominent person reaching out her hand to the locals of Cebu.

There are mix reactions of people coming from all walks of life of her running for congress. Many says that she is no good and may ruin her connections with Mayor Rama. Even local one of the local host her I seem to have felt that he is not in favor of Annabelle running. A lot of Cebuanos as well are happy of the thought that Ms.Annabelle Rama is running for the reason that even in Manila being a manager of known artists, a mother figure to all of her sons and daughter whom are also well known celebrity figures.

In my opinion I don't like to make a comment that she is not good enough because in my stand anyone will be as good in the congress or of any position they are running. I believe that her being a Cebuano and how she stresses that she is elevates the status of being a probinsyana or probinsyano, why? The truth about Manila when you come from the province is that more often you are being underestimated and looked down and most of all easily fooled. I am saying this from my experience and other peoples experience that I have known who visited and tried their luck in Manila. I guess some may be as lucky as I am or of the people that Ihave known which is I am happy for them.

As Eddie Garcia said in one of his interview,  “frank and strong person,” but she has a soft spot especially for fellow Cebuanos whom she wants to serve."

“I talk to her in a nice way. Meron siyang mga battles na, ‘Relax ka lang,’ you know? ‘I-avoid mo na 'yan.’ Kung merong gustong mag-provoke ng away sa kanya, (I tell her) ‘Refrain.” he added.

“Lumalabas yung mga tao from their windows and doors. They know that she is really a Cebuana. She tells her story, kung saan siya lumaki, kung saan siya nag-aral, kung ano nangyari sa buhay niya.” he further stated on an interview with Yahoo.

I know Filipinos are becoming aware on how politics go but I know that everyone do have their own judgement but for whatever it is I still believe that your respect and love of your roots and where you came from is still the no.1 reason that a person can tell of once loyalty and affection of his/her town. 

Liezel Garcia Going Steady With Bugoy

Liezel Garcia who came from Pinoy Dream Academy admitted that she is in a relationship right now with fellow singer Bugoy. It was also a fact that there relationship blossomed in the academy as well.

She further mentions that because of their constant guestings and shows together that they ended up knowing each other more. And she explains that being in the same profession makes their love seems to go well.

“Ang advantages kasi nakakapagturuan kami, nagpupunaan kami, nagsasabihan kami ng what to improve. Ang disadvantages yung mga ibang tao pinapagcompare kami, like ‘Si ganyan mas magaling, mas okay.’ Pero mas more on advantages sa relationship namin,” she stated.

Liezel further explains that being in love makes everything more exciting for her career.

“Malaki ang difference(kapag in-love). Kapag nagpeperform ako, mararamdaman ng mga tao iyon kapag masaya ka. Mas okay magperform kung masaya ka kasi na-aappreciate ng mga tao” she added.

Even if she stated that she is in love there are still talks of being rivals because they are both singers.

Liezel mentions that,“Siguro kasi friends naman kami from the very start, so wala namang inggitan”.

Though she strongly explains that her priority is her family and work. She noted, “Trabaho muna, tsaka family, kasi kailangan pa naming mag-ipon, tumulong sa family. Siya kasi nagpapatayo ng bahay sa province (nila). Ako medyo tapos na magpatayo ng house sa Puerto Galera kasi katulong ko naman si Kuya.”

KC Concepcion Gets A Unique Gift From A French Friend

KC Concepcion is now being romanced by a French after a very sweet day in Boracay. Coming from a very devastating relationship I guess it is time for KC to receive affections of people who truly cares for her.

It is known that KC had a trip to Bora with a French guy named Pierre Emmanuel Plassart whom is one of her circle of friends. She stated that when they were in the romantic island of Boracay the guy named a star from the skies of Bora after her. She added that it was her first time to be given a star and she finds it very sweet and so real of him.

Maja Salvador and Matteo Guidicelli has been in the gossip storm since last year. Though it was finally confirmed when Maja was a guest of KrisTV that she and Matteo broke up for good.

There are a lot of speculations that the reason of their break up was because of Sam Milby. Sam though on an interview explained, “Friends kami ni Maja, and no, I’m not the third party." 

Sam defended himself that he is not the reason and will never be the reason why they broke up. He further stated that, “Ayokong idamay ang sarili ko sa usapan na ‘yan 'coz I’m not the third party. “Ayokong pag-usapan na lang kasi hindi naman ako third party or cause ng breakup nila.”

Maja on an interview as well felt bad of Sam being a part of this intrigue explaining, “Nagugulat ako. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nadadawit yung pangalan ni Sam. Parang after nung break-up namin, doon nasasali yung pangalan ni Sam. So, parang nakakahiya, kasi bakit siya nadadamay? Never naging issue sa amin ni Matteo yung kay Sam kasi wala talaga”.

It was made known that they officially called it quits last July 22.

Dr. Edsel Maurice Salvana TOYP Awardee

This is something that we all Filipinos should be proud of. A Filipino doctor in the name of Dr. Edsel Maurice Salvana is nominated to Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of the World Award.

Dr. Edsel is an HIV/AIDS expert. He is respected of his knowledge in the area of internal medicine, tropical medicine and infectious disease. He placed 3rd with a vote of 2000 on TOYP’s online poll .

Dr. Edsel is currently the chief of Division of Infectious Diseases and HIV Medicine of the Case Western Reserve University and along with University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. He returned to Philippines knowing of the rise percentage of people here becoming sick of the said disease. Last 2008 he was given by DOST a title “Balik Scientist”.

His advocacy to help in which brought him to Africa and United States gained him international recognition. This is in particular of United Nations and US Peace Corps. This year he receive the award for Outstanding Young Scientist for 2012 by National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).

It is nice to know that Filipinos such as Dr. Edsel are still around who wanted to help and reach out to the less fortunate. With the rise of people stricken with HIV now his efforts will greatly be acknowledge. For this we thank you.
