The Tourist Spot In Palawan

Palawan is known to be the "Last Frontier". Being selected as one of the best tourist destination in the world by National Geographic Traveler's magazine as explained by Department of Tourism in the year 2007. 

Tourism Secretary before mentions that,"Independent reviews by credible sources such as National Geographic are highly appreciated by the department as they show us how we are doing and in which areas we can improve" says Joseph Ace Durano.

Palawan is not only good because of the praises it gets from international groups but also for the reason that it is rich of filipino culture, outstanding scenic views and most of all the 5 spot that makes it more interesting to visit.

Puerto Princesa being the capital of Palawan having known to be the cleanest and greenest city in all of the Philippine islands has something to boost already.

The Subterranean River located in Bahile, Puerto Princesa is a world heritage. With its 8.2 kilometers stretch continues to amaze tourist even up to now because of its passable underground river. The subterranean river stands out to be the longest underground river with cave winding empties going to the South China sea. You will be welcomed with marble cliffs along with rugged limestones as you tour in the river. Using paddleboats to explore the underground river you are in for more surprises like rock formations,stalactite pillars and amphitheaters.

From Puerto Princesca itself your mode of transportation going to the river is through a jeepney or a bus if you are not interested to hike it going to Sabang where you will ride on a pump boat going to the river.   

Coron Palawan at a northen most part of the peninsula which takes an hour from Manila by air. This is a most sought spot in Palawan because of its unique towering mountains having a backdrop of a fine white sand beach. Because of World War II it is also known for its wreck diving of which explains why it was listed as  the top 5 dive spots in the world.

Honda Bay. These are islets of shallow reefs that sorrounds these white sand beaches of which are known for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Popular islets known are Starfish Island, Bat Island, Cowrie Island, Meara Marina, Pandan Island, Snake Island, Señorita Island and Lu-Li Island. Among all of the islands there are those that elevates from the rest like Starfish and Meara Marina Islands which overnight stays are famous, Lu-Li Island known since it can only be seen if it is low tide and Señorita Island known for being the breeding area for Lapu-Lapu fishes. 
Honda bay is at Sta. Lourdes at Puerto Princesa. From the capital itself it is a 12 km travel east to the wharf of Sta. Lourdes. Here you will ride a pump boat and will picked up and enjoy a tour to the island you wish to visit. Though due to private ownership of most of the islands you will have to pay for an entrance fee.

El Nido, Palawan. Located 86miles of Coron and about 238km NW of Puerto Princesa can be found at the middle part of Bacuit Bay settled in a karst background of superb rock formations. It's name was given as El Nido comes from sea sparrows that settles in its high cliffs before. El Nido is the starting point of all El Nido Tours to all of its enchanting islands with its rock formation along Bacuit Bay. With international filming done here in El Nido like Bourne Legacy, Survivor and The Beach.

Palawan National Museum. In the museum you will witness the history, culture, crafts and music of Palawan. You will also get to see exhibits of geological, ethnological and archaeological artifacts with the likes of jars, porcelain and artifacts made known to have been used by Tabon man. These primitive group uses tools to hunt and trap made from brass wares.
