MERS New Cases Spotted in South Korea








A new reported casualty for the MERS-CoV virus had been reported by South Korea. MERS which is the name of the sickness or called Middle East Respiratory Syndrome has taken 2 more deaths but added 13 more cases which some it up to a total of 108 cases to have been affected in the country.


The 2 who have died had existing serious illness like cancer before they have been affected of the virus. It is said though that the new 13 cases was linked to a hospital of which it was also here where the first positive MERS case got in contact  with of his trip to a middle east country in May before getting the diagnosed.

South Korea with the help of World Health Organization (WHO) started last Tuesday to assist and get the best possible way to resolve the issue. South Korean has now seconded Saudi Arabia for having the most cases of MERS in WHO list.

What is MERS?

MERS caused by "Novel Coronavirus"which is a viral respiratory disease. MERS-CoV which is another term of the virus was first found in Saudi Arabia. 

What are the symptoms?

MERS cases includes symptoms of Cough, Fever and or shortness of breath. Pneumonia is a common finding. Gastrointestinal symptoms was also reported causing diarrhea. This is the kind of virus that if victims with major ailments may severely affect those that will get infected.

Philippines especially NAIA has given a notice to people going to South Korea to be careful and always exercise precaution along with a watchful eye to those entering the Philippine area.
