Republic Act 10648 approved by President Aquino which is the "Iskolar ng Bayan Act of 2014 backed by the House of Representatives last September 23 and 24.
This is a great news to all of those deserving but unable to be educated public high school students.
This law grants an automatic admission and with scholarship grants to Top 10 Students in the High School public department open to all State Universities and College upon graduation.
It is further discussed though that is a graduating public high school has about 500 students to graduate the said school is entitled to have an extra 1 more scholar to avail of the scholarship program.
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and DepEd (Department of Education) are given the responsibility to implement this law for a mater of 2 months.
UP (University of the Philippines) on the other hand will not be included to those of the Universities or Colleges that one Scholar can avail.
