The break up sadden both of their fans as they as a great couple. Maja and Matteo though both insisted that they parted ways as friends and that their is no and was never a 3rd party involved.
Maja explains, “We just decided to end the relationship to prioritize some things, like his career and his being a triathlete,” further added,“We’re both so busy we hardly have time for each other at halos hindi rin kami nagkikita.”
There are a lot of speculations that the reason of their break up was because of Sam Milby. Sam though on an interview explained, “Friends kami ni Maja, and no, I’m not the third party."
Sam defended himself that he is not the reason and will never be the reason why they broke up. He further stated that, “Ayokong idamay ang sarili ko sa usapan na ‘yan 'coz I’m not the third party. “Ayokong pag-usapan na lang kasi hindi naman ako third party or cause ng breakup nila.”
Maja on an interview as well felt bad of Sam being a part of this intrigue explaining, “Nagugulat ako. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nadadawit yung pangalan ni Sam. Parang after nung break-up namin, doon nasasali yung pangalan ni Sam. So, parang nakakahiya, kasi bakit siya nadadamay? Never naging issue sa amin ni Matteo yung kay Sam kasi wala talaga”.
It was made known that they officially called it quits last July 22.
