2 MERS-Cov Case Reported in Philippines








MERS-Cov virus has now reached Philippines. It was a confirmed data now that there were already 2 inflected patients that was able to reach the country and this is the second time it happened.

The first victim was a 32 years old Filipina nurse who came from Saudi Arabia and return home last February 1, 2015.  It is on Saudi airlines flight 860 of which she was diagnose a few days after of the virus. The new case of inflected person was a 36 years old foreigner who came from the middle east as reported last Monday.

Both patients have been confined to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) respectively at the time when it was known.  The later has already been cured of the disease and the new case is now confined at RITM. All of the said passengers are being retraced by the government for the possible in contact and to check on their health.

President Pnoy has also given a mandate to check and do a close monitoring of all those coming to those coming in the country.
